If you lost your passport while in Slovakia. You will need to report this to the local police in Slovakia. They will give you a police report to hand to the British Embassy. They will ask for the report if you lost your passport. Once this is done they will give you an emergency travel document. See also the fees for a British passport. Note that Bratislava does not provide legalisation services. They may be able to offer notarial services, including administer an oath, affirmation or an affidavit.

If you are going to get married. You will first need to obtain your letter of no impediment form the Embassy. Likewise you will need to have the original divorce decree or the original death certificate of your last spouse. It will take a few days before you have to collect it again. This will need to be verified by the government, then translated and certified.
